Faaya: 4 Lehenga and Body Types : Pick yours wisely

4 Lehenga and Body Types : Pick yours wisely

Other than the pre wedding jitters that a bride faces, the only thing she really worries about is the way she looks. Her dress and her make up. It HAS to be perfect. Every girl dreams of her wedding dress, the fall, the color and the look. Many a times what happens is that the bride chooses the dress she has always dreamt of, but unfortunately the dress doesn’t suit her body type and she ends up looking five years older on her D-Day!

The most essential outfit of the bride is a lehenga. Every bride desires to look beautiful and elegant on her wedding day. But the most important thing to look at before buying a lehenga is the body type. Different lehengas suit different body types. Here are some ideas for a lehenga for different body types.

Firstly, choose the color that suits you the most. Do not buy a very loose or an extremely tight outfit, it will make you uncomfortable. Ensure that the color and work are coordinated, it should provide a heavy look. Hence, embroidery or zari is advisable. How you drape the dupatta also makes a lot of difference to the outfit.

A LINE LEHENGA

If you have a pear shaped body, an A line lehenga is the perfect option for you. It flares from the waist and gives a very heavy look. A beautiful full sleeved blouse would make the outfit look extremely gorgeous.

FISH TAIL LEHENGA

A fish tail lehenga is most suited to women with an hourglass figure, it is fit up to the knees and flares below the knee. A halter neck blouse is a good combination for this lehenga.

STRAIGHT CUT LEHENGA

A straight cut lehenga is most suitable to all body types. Simple and minimalist, the lehenga has slits on the sides. The blouse can be created according to the requirements of the bride which can be a corset or maybe a halter neck. If you are heavy on the bust, do not buy a blouse with heavy embroidery. Instead buy a simple blouse with light work and choose a heavy bottom to accentuate the embroidery on the bottom.

FLARED LEHENGA

A flared lehenga is the most preferred option these days. The lehenga has many pleats near the waist, it compliments slim women or the ones with a cone shaped body. The lehenga looks heavy because of the many pleats. It can be ideally matched with a backless choli, or a one shoulder blouse.

This is one of the most beautiful lehengas I ve come across. Most brides want a red and golden lehenga and this one is simply perfect in every manner. The lehenga has good flow, beautiful embroidery and lovely colour. The full sleeved blouse draws attention and makes the bride look taller and slimmer. The lehenga has a good flow and it will ensure that the bride looks thin and walks tall. The blouse has work only on the sleeves which makes it minimalist and stylish. Heavy skirt and a simple dupatta makes the bride look elegant and simply breath taking.

Its your big day, make sure all eyes are on you!
