Stylowood: Silk sarees we love!

The love affair between Indian women and sarees is known all over the World. There is nobody who does not own a saree in their wardrobe and most of us have favorites from our mothers and grandmothers saree collections. Indian weddings show a riot of colors with majority women wearing the beautiful six meter saree. Be it a young lady to an 80 year old, all women love sarees. The love affair of silk sarees and Rekha is not an unknown to anybody. Silk sarees are synonymous to Rekha. Rarely has anyone seen her in anything except beautiful silk sarees. Red and golden being the dominating colors. The gorgeous actress defies age and never fails to look anything less than extraordinary.

Here is a list of the top five silk sarees worn by the Diva.

The silk saree is in cream with beautiful floral designs all over. Rekha paired the saree with beautiful gold jhumkas which accentuated her beauty. The saree looks simply perfect, not underdressed nor overdressed. The diva looked every bit of a goddess.

No one except Rekha can carry off a beautiful white saree and look as gorgeous as ever. The white silk saree is beautifully paired with an embroidered golden blouse and matched with a golden pouch. The statement black kohl and red lips add to the beauty of the actress.

This is a good change from the gold and red silk sarees. The color suits the actress well and it is nice to see her in a pretty short sleeved blouse which goes well with the saree. This is a traditional bright blue Kanchipuram saree with a heavy border and pallu. Bright lips, a matching purse and she is set to go.

My personal favorite from the silk sarees. The color is different and bright yet it is not the staple red and gold combination. The dark red and gold look lovely and the border makes it even more beautiful. Simple yet classy, this is a must have for all you silk lovers out there. The saree can be worn to literally any event and it will look beautiful without much efforts.

Rekha is wearing a mustard colored traditional saree with heavy jewelry and a matching golden pouch. The saree has a similar colored border and tiny floral designs all over. The diva looks gorgeous in this bright colored silk.
